Doge’s work has a subtle humour to it, telling a story in their transition from one use to another. The suggestive quality of hair is rendered all the more seductive with the simplistic twist of a horn. Doge steps out of the functional barrettes, or mass produced plastic pins, curlers and clips that fill department and chain stores.
