Noémie Doge est une artiste contemporaine suisse née en 1983. Formée à la HEAD, à la Gerrit Rietveld Academie et au Royal College of Art, elle vit et travaille dans le canton de Neuchâtel.
Depuis 2015, la pratique artistique de Noémie Doge est centrée sur le médium du dessin, notamment de grands formats au graphite. Ses œuvres sont caractérisées par la précision et par la composition de formes et de fragments projetés, dont émergent des images potentielles susceptibles d’entrer en résonance avec l’inconscient. Son travail articule des éléments issus de son expérience personnelle et intime avec des enjeux sociétaux contemporains, notamment la maternité, l’écologie et le féminisme, qui constituent des axes centraux de sa démarche artistique.

Noémie Doge was born in 1983 in Moudon. She studied in Geneva and Amsterdam and graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2014. She lives and works in La Chaux-de-Fonds and Neuchâtel.
Her works are rooted in the photographs and images she gleans from her surroundings, that she then superimposes and re- combines to create different strata and mirrors, obtaining symmetries and even kaleidoscopes. The patterns left by sea sand cross a turtle shell are juxtaposed with borage leaves that have been dried and scanned. She completely reappropriates these images by re-creating them, mimicking the work done by our visual memory as it continually combines and recom- poses our memories to shape our imaginations.
