Collier-masque Will be
Réalisé lors d’une résidence au Cranbrook Academy of Art du Michigan, Will be est le premier bijou-objet-masque de Noémie Doge, qui interroge dans son travail les différentes manières de placer un bijou sur le corps. Une paire de lunettes chinées à Detroit est le point de départ de cette pièce hors normes. Will be ( qui sera ) est une pièce vouée à transformer celle qui la porte. Les rivières de chaînes se font rides sur le visage et disent le temps qui passe, en l’anticipant. Cette pièce marque aussi un tournant dans la manière de travailler de l’artiste. Jusque là, ce qui intéressait Noémie Doge était de donner aux matériels inhabituels dans son domaine – pomme de terre, chambre à air, ballon de foot…- un air de préciosité, selon des techniques très personnelles. Désormais à partir de matériaux plus traditionnels, elle s’embarque vers des pièces à la lisière de différentes expressions plastiques… mais toujours spectaculaire.

Garnement of ” I need to go and see” project exhibited at the work-in-progress-show can be seen on I-D online magazine. The necklace is from Anna Wilson, Mixed media textile – RCA. A jewelley piece made by a textile designer and a shirt made by a jewellery designer. The world is upside down…
